It's Your Day!
I absolutely love playing at weddings. I've been lucky enough to sing at many of them, as I played for years in a big traveling swing band, and then a few more years with some small combos. Here's what I love best about the weddings I play: I get to be, in some small way, a part of the most important day in two people's lives. Every wedding is a reflection of the individuality, and the style, and the love that two people share. To be able to witness that (in the form of a great big party!) is a great way to spend a day, if you ask me!
As a wedding musician, my job is to maintain the wonderful atmosphere you've worked so hard to create. During your cocktail hour, would you like the mood in the room to be relaxed? Joyful? Sophisticated? Fun and funky? Music can do that in an instant. I pride myself on reading the room and being aware and sensitive to what kind of music will set a warm, inviting tone for all your guests.
